Spirit Mountain is nestled in a forest on the western high point of Duluth, MN. The campground overlooks Lake Superior & the St. Louis Bay. The campground offers walk-in tenting as well as 73 campsites with fire pits, picnic tables and electricity. Thirty-nine sites have water hook-ups, and two shower buildings offer 24-hour convenience.

Bear Head Lake State Park is located right on the edge of the wilderness near Ely. The location means you might see a black bear or nesting eagles and hear wolves or moose in their natural habitat. Bear Head Lake State Park offers 73 Semi-Modern Sites, 45 Electric Sites, 4 Backpack Sites, 2 Canoe Sites, and 1 Group Camp Site. The campground also offers a few cabins, and shower and toilet facilities.

Want a workout before you even get to your campsite? Throw all your gear on your back and hike through the beautiful prairie to reach your site in the bluffs of the St. Croix River. Camping in Afton State Park is truly “roughing it” with no flush toilets and no showers. The campground is close to the cities, but you get a true sense of the wild.

Whitewater Sate Park is situated in the picturesque limestone bluffs and deep ravines. The park is over 2,700 acres and full of wildlife. The campsite offers everything from tent sites to cabins.
